Errol Spence did very good, however

He made some fundamental mistakes today and I saw him get hit with more punches than he should get hit with because he unloads his combinations and he leaves himself open, he can't fight big punchers like he fought tonight, he's gonna have to use more footwork, angles and head movement.

I think his power is good at 147, his stamina was great tonight and he's pretty quick as well.

What do you guys think? Maybe it's because he was fighting a southpaw?

I say it's time to throw him in with a top 10 guy.

    He's ready.

I think so too, but he needs to be careful around punchers and have a strategy, tonight he relied too much on speed and power, which are his biggest weapons but he has to think a bit more, move his head, use angles and better footwork, the top welterweights are not gonna be a walk in the park for him if he tried to overpower them like tonight.

Unfortunately, that's what happens when you throw a punch...you leave yourself open. It's the same way for his opponents though. They can either run or face "The Truth". Errol Spence and Keith Thurman needs to happen, before tonight I didn't think so but now I know for sure.

He's developing nicely. I don't think it's time for a top 10 guy, maybe give him someone like Leonard Bundu next.

Bundu isn't a top 10 guy though. Porter, Thurman, Brook, Khan, Maidana and Garcia are the guys on Haymon's side of the street.

I think he's a tit for tat guy. He's either offense or defense. Doesn't mesh them both well. Very predictable but he's definitely a machine. Looks to have great conditioning. Needs to develop his IQ more though. He fights but it doesn't appear like he's thinking in there. He just trys to pummel you and break you down. Also wish he knew how to fight going backwards. He simply shells up most of the time.

Errol Spence is the natural progression in the lineage of Tyson - Mayweather - Ward ...
