Rican fighters are not hated. Many respect Cotto. Its mostly Mexican fans and the long rivalry against Puerto Rican fighters. Many boxing fans disliked Cotto for baby sitting that MW title and not fighting true MW's, but it has died down a bit since the Canelo fight was announced.
