Comments Thread For: Amir Khan Warns: Berto Won't Be Easy For Mayweather

LONDON - Boxing star Amir Khan will be BoxNation’s special guest analyst for Floyd Mayweather’s final fight against Andre Berto and has backed his stablemate to cause a ‘big surprise’.

‘The Channel of Champions’ will be showing the legendary Mayweather’s last outing exclusively live in the UK, with Khan making up a knowledgeable trio of on-air talent which also includes charismatic presenter Steve Bunce and two-weight world champion Steve Collins.

The star-studded guest list will see Irish hero Collins, who has shared the ring with some of Britain’s biggest names including Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn, now sharing the couch with another in Khan as they bring BoxNation subscribers their unique and privileged insight.

When the Khan-is-obsessed-with-floyd caricatures hit their apex, Khan was supposed to self-immolate and run through Times Square screaming Floyd's name in frustration when he picked Berto instead. Looks like he just shrugged.

Floyd made the right choice. Khan may not have very good defense but Floyd is feather-fisted and his main strength is his own PED-enhanced speed. Khan has natural speed surpassing Floyds. It would have been a very tough night. Prime Floyd was downed by Zab Judah.

Khan=crisper version of Judah facing a past-it Floyd. No chemical in Floyd's arsenal would have really enabled him to beat Khan to the punch for 12 rounds.

I think this fight is kind of interesting considering style,it will actually be exciting. Berto will be there to be hit and has enough speed to get off on Floyd early. I think Berto will catch Floyd a few times, but i also see Berto getting rocked and seriously hurt in this fight.

Khan talking about Mayweather without talking about a potential fight with him?

What a refreshing change of pace.

Amir was the guy who said Mayweather vs Berto was "a farce." I suppose this is just his unothodox way of reinforcing that view.

When is the last time Berto got off on someone Larry? Freddy Hernandez? He got a questionable stop against Lopez while being down on the cards FFS....

Berto is like a smaller Canelo Alvarez stylistically. Flat footed, throws straight punches. I think Bertos shorter reach could play an advantage if Berto can sustain close pressure like Maidana. I think Berto comes out strong and is lost after round 4. He is like Broner. Elite skills but not versatile or dynamic enough to find a way to beat Floyd.

And when Berto is incredibly easy and Khan is ready to beg for the Mayweather fight again, Khan will criticize Mayweather for fighting a bum.

Whats the point in listening to this clown , first of all he said the fight was a mismatch and now he's saying it's going to be a hard fight. You've got to be as thick as Khan to like him and now we've got to listen to this idiot on Boxnation , an event I was quite looking forward to.
We will also have to listen to how massive a puncher Provodnikov is and how dangerous this fight can be and the one punch can change a fight line....thank god for the mute button , that's gonna get some hammer.
In perspective which Khan and his worshippers never grasp is Provodnikov has lost three of his last five and was beaten by none other than Chris Algieri.
This fight is at Khans level and Khans fans must realise their hero is a 'C' level fighter with a ****y chin.
