    80's sweep....

I went with the 80's sweep. Hagler is the greatest Middleweight in history, not Hopkin's and not Robinson. He beats them both. Hearns KO's Mayweather. His defense is overrated. I read a couple posters saying he goes 12, no he wouldn't. Everyone knows that Manny is my favorite fighter today BUT he loses to Duran. Duran is the most violent fighter I've ever seen in a boxing ring. He beats Manny in a WAR. SRL KO's De La Hoya. No doubt in my mind either.

This is such nostalgic bull****, I could name many fighters who went the distance with and troubled these guys and you think they're gonna just blast out the top guys from now?

Manny's punches get there so much quicker than Duran's. Go watch the Estaban De Jesus fights and tell me how violent Duran looks when he's getting put on his ass. Manny is kinda a mismatch for him tbh, goes exactly like the Cotto fight except Duran would go down swinging.

Hagler/B-hop is 60/40 B-Hop in my eyes. Unless by some divine miracle B-Hop's reflexes fail him and Hagler is able to land combos consistently, then B-Hop will outbox him at long range and spoil up close. Hagler KO always an option though Hopkins has a great beard.

People always say they don't see how Floyd would fight Hearns and I think it's pretty obvious. He would fight incredibly low, drawing Hearns right hand and countering in with Left hooks and overhand rights. Basically I think it plays out kinda Gamboa/Crawford except Floyd is a genius and won't get caught coming in...

And well, Leonard beat De La Hoya. Think Oscar wins the first 4-5 round with his spear jab and fast feet and Leonard slowly taking over to win a UD. I think this would look like the Leonard/Mayweather fight without the Knockdowns

            Who wins these fights?
            Hagler beats Hopkins

Ray beats DLH from 147 to 160

Hearns beats Mayweather, probably stops him from 147-154

Duran's best shot at beat Pacquiao is at 135, at 140 and above, Pacquiao beats him, maybe hurts him

The poll would be better if Dela Hoya fought Hearns and Mayweather fought Leonard.

very few people on the forum recognize the strength, dimensions, and power that tommy hearns had at WW. he's the most physically gifted WW i've ever seen. he made 147 lbs by the grace of god. he was a hell of a middleweight, and his power carried all the way to LHW and CW.

                    2000's will win

Obviously, 2000's will win. As the time advances you get new techniques. Boxing has become a modern game by the time. Now the fighters use great equipment and right nutrition for themselves. So, they are more stronger than the fighters of 80's.
