Islam Timurziev Rest In Peace

Islam Timurziev, former top amateur super heavyweight, died last Monday from sepsis.

He won several amateur titles and had wins over super heavyweights such as Cammerelle, Solis, Pulev, Hunter, Helenius, etc.

Timurziev had one-punch KO power and the potential to become a top pro contender, and was successful even after a bout with cancer several years ago. But he developed other serious health problems and eventually had to stop boxing.
