Popular Mandaue City, Cebu - Fighter Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta is hungry for victory when he battles former three-time world title challenger Martin “El Brochas” Honorios on October 3 at the StubHub Center in Carson City, California. The fight takes place on the Lucas Matthysse-Viktor Postol undercard.
Gesta’s official website reported that after failing to win the IBF lightweight title against champion Miguel Vazquez in 2012 - Gesta returned to the ring as a super lightweight in 2014 and “has looked better than ever in stopping Edgar Riovalle and Luis “Vampiro” Arceo. Most recently, Gesta fought world title contender Carlos Molina in April delivering an exciting and evenly matched event resulting in a draw.
