Wladimir at 40 and approaching the end needs a tuneup about as bad as Mayweather does. If this is really happening, well then I hope Fury puts an end to Wlad's run first.
Should Wladimir Klitschko fight Shannon Briggs?

Briggs has done nothing to deserve this fight. His opponents look like they clocked out at their day job at Papa Johns 3 hours before the fight starts, and Wlad would absolutely crush him. But at the same time the build up to this matchup has brought a lot of attention, and it would definitely sell well in the states.
Yet it's still tough to say yes simply because it's Shannon Briggs. He's over 40, washed up, got destroyed brutally by Vitali not that long ago and might get hurt here. The dude shared a ring with George Foreman and Lennox Lewis. Anyone heavyweight who's done that shouldn't be fighting in 2016, never mind for the HW title. If it were any other fighter who's done nothing in the same exact scenario I'd say yes, simply because Wlad earned this type of fight and it'd be a fun build up before he finishes him in 3 rounds. Similar to the attention Mosley-Mayorga II got. But since it's 43 year old Briggs, I can't get myself to say yes.Comment
