  • Comments Thread For: Mayweather: Pacquiao Backers Had To Eat Their Words

WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) says he predicted a long time ago how his highly anticipated fight with Manny Pacquiao would play out.

There were years of several hype before the fight was finally made this past May, when Mayweather won a twelve round unanimous decision. The fight had few memorable moments and failed to live up to the enormous hype.

He has a fight after 5 days and still talks about Pacquiao?! I think sane person will buy next Mayweather's fight.

Mayweather did not win the fight and will surely loose again if there's a rematch.

The fight is in a week and Floyd needs to use Pacquiao's name to sell his fight.

Floyd makes money, even when the fight failed to live up to expectations.

Floyd heard shxt for years! To be fair to him, he should be able to talk some shxt to his detractors!!

Floyd had to deal with all types of speculative & disparaging remarks related to fighting PAC for years!

Floyd had to constantly refute allegations he was ducking PAC! He denied it and said that he fears no man, but he wanted to get paid, and drug testing.... Don't want to get into long meaningless discussions on that topic.

The point I am trying to make is, let Floyd gloat a bit more. He took enough crap for many years!
