May 2 didn't exactly help boxing out, and I am honestly not sure boxing will be here forever, mma is on the rise and people are starting to think that boxing isn't fighting anymore.

You act like Floyd was bringing in 1 million PPV's from jump. he couldn't break over 400,000 against Gatti, Baldomir or Judah. Even the first time he went over 1 million buys we all know De La Hoya was the A side. If I'm not mistaking Canelo's first PPV headlining card was against Mayweather which did 2.2 million not bad for a first timer and yes Canelo had a lot do with those numbers. Canelo's fight will do over 1 million buys against Cotto as well so in Canelo's first 4 PPV's headlining 2 of those fights will have done over 1 million PPV's while it took Mayweather 6 times headlining PPV to crack the 1 million buys for the second time and that was until he fought Marquez. Canelo was 23 and Floyd was what 28 the first time he did over 1 million buys.

Canelo didn't headline the Floyd fight; he's not even the headliner vs Cotto it's a Rocnation event. Nobody but idiots who think Mexicans but all PPV's think the Cotto will break a million.

So the fight will be PPV afterall? It will def do bad numbers but hopefully it does well so that GGG can show what he has or not.

I think you can be, for as long as you are boxing and even beyond. Ali proved that, he became an icon. You go in the Yankee Stadium and go to the merchandise stores, you don't see boxing posters, you see Ali posters. That's bigger than the sport. Floyd you can say is at that level, he is known internationally by people who don't know what a jab even is. That is being more popular than your field itself.

So the guy who controls boxing is having the absolute final fight of his career and nobody cares...

I guess Sr. is becoming a bit senile or he missed a word

"My son controls doping in boxing" since Floyd controls USADA, so Floyd actually can cheat whenever he wants.

Floyd barely has any fans, the people who bought his fights want to see him lose.
