You all know that Floyd is my favorite fighter in the world overtop of everyone but Zab falls on my 2nd level of favorites along with Malignaggi(or however you spell his name).
I say the same thing Ive said since this fight has been made. This is a very dangerous fight for Floyd. Zab has as much overall talent as anyone in the sport, he will have his A game for this fight, Floyd hasnt been fighting the elite level lately so it could be a shock for him at 1st when he see's Judah's power & speed, and Zab is a southpaw.
I said since this fight has been made that Zab has a punchers chance in this fight but Im talking about a real chance. When people say punchers chance, they are basically saying that the guy has no chance but to land a lucky punch or just to land a big power shot. When I say punchers chance I mean he can legitimatly do it. If Zab was right hand then I would give him no chance to win but Southpaws will always scare me in boxing and e****ally southpaws with power.
All Southpaws dont even have Super power but alot of them just look that way because they are South Paw. Zab & Pac have power but not as great as it seems. It just seems so great because they are lefty, which makes it have so much more effect because a southpaw can hit you clean with a blind shot that you never see coming or you can see the punch coming, have the perfect defense, and still cant stop it and those 2 things make a punch hurt way more.
When MAB got knocked down against Pac for the 1st time, he had the perfect defense. Pac threw the left, MAB stepped back and dipped it. Then the very next punch Pac threw it again, MAB did the same thing and it landed flush on his jaw. It hurt him because a right hand fighter wouldnt be able to land that punch. Even Foreman talks about it all the time. If you do a defensive move against a right hand fighter you can always be out of range but you could do the same move against a lefty and you are still in range.
Thats how Sanders ruined Wladamire. Wlad got blinded by the 1st couple of lefts and it hurt him. After that, he knew the left was coming but still couldnt stop it. He was even leaning back and pushing both of his arms out like a scared person does to try to block the punch but it still would hit him flush.
The 2nd Jones fight agaisnt Tarver. Roy had the perfect defense but Tarver still landed that punch flush on Jones. That punch was not a super hard punch. If it was a right hand fighter then Jones couldve took it but because it was so blind, it hurt him bad. He had the perfect defense and still got caught. A right hand fighter you can pretty much see every punch and brace yourself for it but against a lefty you either cant see it or you can see it and still cant stop it and that makes them scary and it makes the punch hurt more.
Its no coincendence that Floyd was really only hurt one time and that was by a lefty and Chop caught him a couple of times in that fight with blind punches and punches that a right hand fighter wouldnt land on Floyd.
Floyd is great and has the perfect straight right hand to kill lefty's. While Floyd & Zab are comparable in talent, Floyd is by far fundementally superior to Judah and therefore should win but all it takes is one blind big left to end this fight or just change the tide of the fight for a long time and Zab will throw it with a fury. He will try to decapitate Floyd with it. If Floyd slips up once then we can have a upset
