*Yawn*, the Welterweight division is a joke.

The welterweight division is beautiful right now. It happens every decade and it's happening again: a group of solid boxers find themselves together at 147 while they are still in their prime. I think we'll see a star or two emerge.

You guys gotta stop with the "he's coming off a loss," ****. Erik morales beat Paulie Ayala and pacquaio coming off a loss. A professional, upper level fighter losing, doesn't destroy their confidence or render them garbage. People have to stop recycling this ****** idea. History is full of examples that prove how ****** it is.

Some would say Khan unofficially lost to Algieri so... oh and if he does fight Provodnikov even at 147lbs that's the equivalent of Superman carrying Kryptonite in his pocket, haters gonna hate.

There is a lot of weird **** going on though. Khan taking it easy. Broner getting a title shot at 140 after taking a loss in his last fight at 147. Maidana hasn't fought in forever. Mayweather -berto is a mismatch made in heaven. Kell brook is somehow making demands that make the opposing fighter walk away from the table. Danny Garcia keeps fighting light touch after light touch. Where did all the true fighters go? Or is his he wrong era for a true fighter?

Nothing has changed. Felix Trinidad and Ike Quartey had been champs at welter for 5/6 years before they fought Oscar De La Hoya. Give them some time to not only build their star power but their skills too. These fights will happen in the next year or two. Can't wait.

True, but I do think losses have to be taken into consideration in the case of Provodnikov and when you also factor in other welterweights that haven't been scheduled to fight. Provodnikov has done absolutely nothing of note at Welterweight anyway, other than beating an aged Castillo and losing to Timothy Bradley.

It's the tradeoff for being able to watch boxing a couple times a month and seeing boxing on free TV.

                    Just rewatched Bradley vs Provo.

Damn that was a good fight. Also, Provo showed some speed and skills.

If the same guy shows up, that would be a great fight. Sadly, the dude has been in too many wars.
