Judging by this thread; Danny Garcia should be embraced, not vilified on this forum

    Kahn - Tough outing
    Morales - Soft touch
    Judah - Softish
    Matthyse - Super Tough outing
    Herrera - Tough outing
    Salka - Super soft touch
    Peterson - Super tough outing
    Malignaggi - Softish

So...he's pretty much following the script that NSB embraces!

If you fight 2 times a year then never.

Those sort of fights are supposed to be to tune up for big fights.

If your next fight is 6 mths away then tune up fights are pointless.

Berto isn't a tune up fight its a straight duck of Amir Khan

He's old, but he still has enough to be competitive and it was his first fight at 147 proper - so softish

Not every fight should be for the title

            Deontay Wilder vs Johann Duhaupas
            Juergen Braehmer vs Konni Konrad
            Kell Brook vs Diego Chaves
            Adonis Stevenson vs Tommy Karpency

^^ Should be 10 round (No Titles on the line)

I'd like to see some opinions on this.
If you are fighting 4 or more times a year.

there's no problem with taking tune ups but the problem is when fighters want these tune ups to be main events and they want to earn millions for them. unfortunately guys like haymon and others have been very successful in bringing these tune up matches to prime time. if a fighter really wanted to stay sharp he could jump on any card since there are tons every weekend but its just an excuse to earn easy money.

All of them are entitled to take a safe fight. Just don't expect people to line up for these fights.
