Comments Thread For: Kell Brook: I'll Make a Major Statement on Chaves

It was a forecast to what was to come. It was inevitable you'll do it. You're not the wittiest one, so I'm not worried.
Out of desperation now you're trying to turn this in to a flaming thread hoping it would mellow the pain. *Golf Clap*.Last edited by Box-Office; 09-02-2015, 02:14 PM.Comment

Floyd - nope
Pacquiao - Injured
Thurman - Won't travel
Garcia - Just fought/won't travel
Khan - Scared
Bradley - Was offered a fight and didn't take it
Porter - No point + 1st fight was a stinker
Rios - Rejected the fight
Who else?[/QUOTE]
Rios didn't reject the fight according to himself and his camp. They claim that Brook prized himself out of the fight and was requesting ridiculous demands such as a restriction on glove type etc. Bradley fight should of been made there is no excuses, Arum met with Hearn and there is no reason Why Bradley wouldn't travel to England when he beat Junior Witter in Nottingham.Comment

Let me get this straight. You make a Kell Brook thread. Forecast I/Dirk will talk about Khan. Then proceed to mention Khan 4-5 times yourself, along with all of the other turds like RedCyclone and EnglishLion - and then try and "own" me when I respond to your mentioning of Khan
That's not witty mate. that's just simple.Comment

If you're going to end the year with a pop then you had a good chunk of time to position yourself against a big name and move things accordingly instead of crying last minute about who is and isn't available. It is always something with these people. Why couldn't Brook travel to America for his 3rd defense?
Yes yes I get it that American fighters should also travel more, but that's not how things work as we all know.Comment

Looks to be an entertaining fight with someone who has power and could cause the upset ....I can't wait to see the clown they wheel in for ole' glass jaw ...Maybe a rematch with that murderess light welterweight puncher Algieri cause a lot had that one very close !Comment

How the hell can Brook prize himself out of a fight he's offering?
They settled on the money part. Hearn confirmed a 7 figure deal had been offered. Rios conceded the money wasn't an issue, it was gloves.
Now, if I remember correctly, did Gradovic not come from Garcia's camp? Was he not told he couldn't fight with MX gloves in the UK? He did. So obviously they would know.
Now, then it was the rematch clause. The same rematch clause Rios had signed against Pacquiao and probably had against the fighters he defended against himself.
Hearn even agreed he could have a rematch in the US if he won.
With regards to Bradley - He obviously isn't in the same position as when he was struggling for $50k paydays.

Well this is coming from Rios who is clearly going to be a little one-sided in his description of events. Also the glove type, as has been covered in previous threads, is due to the BBBoC banning the Everlast MX, not Brook being a diva. Rios walked away from the fight, not Brook.Comment

Why should he as the champion travel and fight someone else in the US for less money? If you're going to end the year with a pop then you had a good chunk of time to position yourself against a big name and move things accordingly instead of crying last minute about who is and isn't available. I know you're not trying to sink that low.Comment

Less money? What exactly did he make for Gavin? There must be a reason why we can't find #s on his big showdowns vs Senchenko/Hatton. Those did seem like big fights. If he fought Rios on HBO he could've easily made around 500 K. I say this cuz Khan in his first American defense vs Paulie made 900 K or somewhere around that. It wasn't a million, but very close. Kell's highest payday that has been known to public or at least the one I could find is 200 K vs Porter.
Since, the ice has been broken, if his idol could travel for most of his World level career then why can't he? At this point Khan at 24 was main event in Las Vegas defending his WBA World title against Maidana. Levels.
I noticed LacedUp pulling overtime on YouTube.
