    Floyd Mayweather Sr., father and trainer of WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., is surprised with the tremendous amount of criticism directed at his son for selected Andre Berto as the opponent for September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

    Berto, a former WBC/IBF welterweight champion, is listed by every oddsmaker as a massive underdog and given virtually no shot at victory by nearly every expert.

                      I'm shocked it is next week, I thought it was like a month away. I'm too caught up in thinking about Canelo/Cotto to care at all about this fight.

                              A 65 year old man says the word "haters"? Ookay.

                              Edit: Not buying it, the first Floyd fight I have missed intentionally since his "retirement." Might not even watch the replay on SHO unless Berto knocks Floyd out. Not Ben if Berto wins an uneventful fight I would not watch. Berto would have to KO Floyd for me to watch the fight, the next week or on YouTube asap after the fact. Truth.

                                  Ain't nobody buying this garbage. Everybody posting so far is right, nobody cares that the fight is next week and everyone is too hyped about Cotto/Canelo to even give Floyd's fight a second thought.

                                  Bittersweet for Showtime. PPV is going to bomb, however it's their last $32 million guarantee they have to pay out.
