  • Have Floyd's hand problems affected his fighting style?

Roger mentioned after the Pac fight that Floyd was having hand issues in camp. This seems to have been an ongoing problem for years now, do you think this is why he doesn't throw as many combos as he used to during his "Pretty Boy" days?

    Or is that overblown?

Nope. Age. He's adapted to an old man style.

That is the other possible explanation. He got older so he had to find ways to conserve energy.

I think he would fight like that regardless. Once he hit 147 and higher he seemed to determined to just do his thing outboxing people plus minimizing the risk of getting cracked by stronger opponents.

Of course they have. But not just his hands, but his shoulders. You can see he is not stepping into his punches like he use too. And I guarantee you he is stronger now than he was 5 years ago.

You don't need excuses for an undefeated all time great. More like analyzing how he's adapted his style as he moved up in weight, aged and accumulated wear and tear. It's an appreciation and a discussion of how he has dominated for as long as he has.

What's funny is the 2 bitter posts in this thread have pics and user names of fighters he's whitewashed.

I don't think he's boring, just very economical with his punches. He used to be a lot flashier in his younger days at the lower weights.

3 if you want tot include the bum in your avi in advance!

Also undefeated means dog ***** when you're hand picked opponents and marketed well enough to pay for wins. Its obvious it was a business more so than implementing a legacy that was more important to Floyd (the Puppet) and Haymon (The Puppet Master). If you are that gullible to believe he is the best due to his undefeated record i feel sad for you. Gullible can easily be replaced with "******"
