In my opinion, even 8 lbs is TOO MUCH.

I think it depends on the situation. If both guys are rehydrating to similar weight (i.e. Canelo/Trout), fair play. If there's a noticeable weight difference (i.e. Chavez/Martinez), then obviously the smaller fighter better be skilled/talented or he's gonna be in trouble.

His career was decent, but much like Don Curry he fell way short of expectations.

Zab peaked early but was still a two-division champ. Curry had over 400 amateur fights. In Curry's case it was burnout more than anything.

Sometimes expectations are just to high for people.

We all laughed at the male stripper being an opponent and it was obvious the guy didn't belong in the ring with a top ranked fighter and now the guy is being transported to the hospital. This matchmaking is not only a joke it's becoming dangerous and they're risking people's lives at this point.

Hopefully Richard Schaefer jumps on board and cleans this mess up because if these mismatches continue its only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt or even dies. What a disgrace that this fight was given the green light from everyone involved. There were plenty of capable fighters that posed little to no risk they could have chosen from.

Said earlier that it was pure luck that this didn't happen to Salka. He got put out pretty viciously and we all knew it was coming.
