bc the truth is there is likely only 1.5 hardcore fans...and then also espn offers streaming free..and another thing..the little guy stigma likely did not help

also ppl who are casual likely are still learning that espn is providing the best of the best now...not just FNF

The purses are public records. It's a fact PBC is overspending. You got fighters making 1 mil to fight no named bums on most of these PBC cards. Purses like that are unheard of in boxing until PBC came around. So yes they are overspending and still getting subpar TV ratings. Last weeks ratings is only considered a success if you judge it on PBC's past failures in TV ratings. And most importantly they still have no TV advertisers which is why you see a million Corona commercials or rounds where they don't cut to commercials at all. If these ratings are so great why aren't advertisers beating down their doors?

HBO peaks at 1.2 usually, this was the average number. That means 1.2 million people watched every fight, that's not bad by any means.

What are you guys expecting exactly? 3, 4, 5 shares? The NFL is the only one that gets higher than that consistently, regular season basketball games are lucky to get 2.5 and that's with good teams playing. And I assure you a basketball, hockey or baseball game cost more per game than this boxing card and get MAYBE slightly more ratings.

Too many people hate for no reason, PBC has been on 6 months and they're basically matching HBO ratings already. I don't get the hate at all, because really if anything it is making Haymon a better match maker. The only fights that pull decent ratings are good matchups, every other fight with bad matchmaking has been sub 1.0.

i'm sure if a guy bring average of entire telecast to 1.2 for hbo he's getting a deal from hbo very soon...understand the peak will be even higher if the entired telecast averaged 1.2m

nobody knew the fighters on the undercard and u tell me 1.2?? i think that is great

Its not free. When you try to stream they will ask for Cable company info such as email address and password. Therefore, it is not free cause you're paying for the cable service.

Again but HBO is paying less money and is subscription based and in far fewer homes. I think HBO is in like 1/3 the amount of homes as ESPN. Being on Cable TV and paying more money and still they are not beating out HBO ratings. And they are not doing as great as people think they are because if they were advertisers would be beating down their doors. And ESPN is not free you have to pay for Cable or validate your cable service to access their streaming content. Free TV is NBC, CBS ect. The ratings are subpar because the amount of money PBC is pouring in. If this were operating on a FNF budget of course this would be a success. But when you paying 2.5mil Just for the main event and have no advertisers you need higher ratings.
