Watching Manny's "superior footwork" amount to little more than ineffectively hopping in place was very satisfying.

Floyd moved a lot, manny failed to cut the ring off. Floyd controlled the space, the pace, hit and moved. Some of these guys want Floyd to fight like Brandon rios or mike Alvarado and battle toe to toe. Paulie M moves a lot, lacks power to go toe to toe, blow for blow, but he is a boxer and won a title or two.
As I just started posting my opinions, I don't get it, I just don't understand how boxing fans want a guy to change his style and weaken his best skills?
I feel they can't separate their idealized fantasies of their favorite boxers, and see reality.
I am not just talking PAC fans.
I was in Santa Monica watching Floyd give de la Hoya a boxing lesson, at a big sports bar. There was a big crowd, everything de la Hoya did was greated by cheers. The crowd was obviously pro DLH. But as I said l, I love boxing, my gramps was a boxer. But Floyd won that fight easily. My buddy with me asked me what I thought, and I told him, "Floyd is winning and controlling the fight!" Many people got mad at me, but **** them. An old guy came up to me and thanked me for being objective. I have been a boxing fan for a long long time.
My question is, why is it so hard to reason with fanatics?Last edited by daggum; 09-02-2015, 12:43 AM.

Floyd knew if he came forward Manny would counter, but again Manny went on to be the aggressor and try to make a fight out of it.

The bout has drawn a lot of heat on Mayweather, with Berto being such a huge underdog and coming in with a 3-3 ratio in his last six fights.
Mayweather, who says the fight will be the final one of his pro career, selected Berto for his exciting toe to toe performances.

Floyd gave Oscar a boxing lesson, ey? My question to you would be, do you swallow or spit? For you to think that, tells me you are a Fanboy. Oscar was a part-time fighter, full-time promoter, and OLD! He still almost upset Floyd who was at his peak and in his PRIME. That fight proved that Floyd was overrated. A prime Hoya wins on points against Floyd, 10 out of 10 times! That's what that fight tells me. He gave Oscar a boxing lesson!?!? YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!
