The last we saw of middleweight Matt Korobov was on December 13th at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas when he was stopped by Andy Lee in the sixth round for the vacant WBO title. I remember reading that HBO were considering having Monroe Jr back, if that's true wouldn't mind seeing him against Korobov. Good fight for both guys really.

Strongly disagree. Contenders fighting each other to work their way up, or back up after losses as is the case for both guys, is exactly what the sport needs more of.

As a main event, sure. As an undercard fight (which it surely would be) I think it'd be good. Undercard fights tend to be two non-elite guys in what should be a competitive fight or a prospect against a cherry picked opponent. I'd prefer something like this over a fight where one guy is a 20/1 underdog.

Just looking at the schedule for the next 2 weeks: Braehmar defending a paper belt against a guy chosen because he is no/little threat, Martin Murray vs a 25/1 underdog, Shannon Briggs against a 22/1 underdog, Dirrell against Rubio who should be 1000/1, Stevenson against an opponent picked because he has a 0% chance, Quillin vs someone who would lose to Rod Salka. Those to me are trash fights. Not all of those are being televised but some are main events.

Fights like Salido-Martinez II, Spence-van Heerden and Jack-Groves are IMO good fights even if they aren't the best fighters in the division because you know both guys are coming with a winning mentality not a Collazo mentality.

That'd be an interesting fight. Was hoping Soro would be able to mix it up more... don't think Bob likes him cuz of the Tapia win and he has his own troubles too

Both guys were stopped in 5 rounds in their last fight. Considering HBO puts on like 10 cards a gear these days, I expect more as a co-main event.
