Comments Thread For: Josh Warrington Eager To Do a Job on Joel Brunker

Josh Warrington says he’ll add a win against Joel Brunker to wins for the Leeds Rhinos and Leeds United at the First Direct Arena on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports.

Warrington defends his WBC International and Commonwealth Featherweight titles against the Australian – but with Brunker last in the UK against Lee Selby, this fight is seen as a yardstick for Warrington’s preparedness for the World scene.

Selby needs to quit dreaming about fighting stiffs in America. WE all saw how he won that title. He got milk through the fence and now he claims he owns a farm. Warrington needs to put him right, this before any grand tours at least. WAR..rington!!

Warrington is ****. It's an easy money fight for Selby.

Is he really that bad? Is he worse than Montiel? I would like to see Selby prove his legitimacy, but he's asking for a pass like he's already done something special. He's not a Brook or Khan, but he's sure trying to be.

I don't see this as an easy fight for Warrington. I think he still wins but a mild upset here wouldn't surprise me. I'm not sure he has the ring smarts or the power to command Brunkers respect.

I think I'd like to see an upset here as I have no interest in Selby vs Warrington, its a total waste of everyones time.

If you mean Fernando Montiel which I assume so Warrington is noway near Montiels level, even a heavily past prime Montiel.

Warrington is just a fair Domestic level boxer.

Yeah, he beat up Gradovich who is no mug.

Warrington looks okay but woefully feather-fisted which will be his undoing because he doesn't pace himself properly egged on by the crowd.
