Compare that to Robert Guerrero getting a mill vs Martinez in an empty Stub Hub or Lara getting a mill vs Rodriguez in an empty United Center, Marez/Santa Cruz were bargains. But in terms of actual market value, that's probably spot on to what they deserved. I remember Vazquez/Marquez or Castillo/Corrales getting way less that that.

Tomorrow night on PBC on ESPN featherweights Leo Santa Cruz and Abner Mares will square off in a hugely anticipated bout between two of the best featherweights in the world. The 12 round fight is expected to be a brawl between two exciting Mexican fighters who have had a date in the squared circle coming for the last couple years. Here are the purses for both fighter's for Saturday night's fight:

I don't think sportsmen should be paid millions but that's just me.

In terms of what's happening these days in boxing, them earning around 600k in pounds is the right amount for a fight between 2 some what recognisable names.

Bear in mind that Berto is used to getting $1 million from HBO regardless of who he fights, cab drivers, laundromat workers, etc. I'd be surprised if he gets $3 million. Rios got $5 million from the Pac fight, Bradley got $10 in the Pac 2, Marquez is now a multi-millionaire, etc.
