Hopkins sounds jealous. Mayweather has fought lots of tough fights and by winning these fights he put himself in a position to cherry pick a Berto and still make money. He just got through beating Pacquiao who was his number 1 challenger and the main guy he was supposed to be ducking. So right after fighting a guy as good as Pacquiao he takes a break and fights an average fighter an he becomes this huge cherry picker. If Mayweather says Berto is his last fight I believe him. He is 38 and he has been boxing since he was 6 years old. He has enough money for 1000 normal people to live comfortably on the rest of their lives. Why shouldn't he retire. Hopkins should retire himself. My only complaint about Mayweather is he kept two 154 pound world title belts for two years without ever defending those belts. That is just greedy and it's not right.

Anyway, with regards to the Berto fight, is it anything BUT a cherry pick? Even if you believe Floyd is allowed an easy touch, it's still a cherry pick. Just say you agree with his cherry picks and move on.
It's just a fight. Not much different than Khan, Brook, or any other WW in my opinion. I think Berto can cause some problems from an ability standpoint. But so can a lot of guys.

        that's your problem?

        what a ******ed post.

him basically fake retiring twice to duck the most loaded and best division in boxing is my problem with him. that and not having faced a bona fide great who was in their prime.

Bh is greater than Floyd. Anything BH has done is equal to Floyd and hes like 12 years older. BH took risks because he was an underdog in every fight.

Bh last fight was Kovalev. Floyds supposed last fight is Berto. Surely that must tell you something. That's the story of Floyds career.

What bona fide great did he duck by retiring?

Paul williams? He isn't a bona fide great. And cotto, mosley, and Pac didn't fight Paul and they were active. But you never say they ducked paul. That's hypocrisy.

            Margarito? Not bona fide.

So again i ask what bona fide great did he duck ?

Champions have to fight higher quality opposition, so no, it's not just a fight.
