Yes, a minority of fans do want Floydie fighting practically any and everybody in boxing within 50 lbs of him. But even with that, no one I've heard has ever suggested he fight Wlad.

It's not that fans are never satisfied, it's that fans have always wanted to see Floyd challenge himself against the best of the best, in their prime, take some risks as the legend did before him. They talk about how fans kept calling for Pacquiao, but they made him sit for 6 years. He was too dangerous back when he stopped Cotto, when he knocked out Margarito. That's gutless.
