  • Comments Thread For: Leo Santa Cruz Open To Jesus Cuellar WBA Collision

Staples Center, Los Angeles, California - Newly crowned WBA featherweight champion Leo Santa Cruz (31-0-1, 17KOs) is very willing to face the WBA interim-champion, Jesus Cuellar (27-1, 21KOs) of Argentina.

Santa Cruz captured the vacant title on Saturday night with a twelve round majority decision over fellow Mexican Abner Mares. The belt became vacant after Nicholas Walters failed to make weight for a June fight with Miguel Marriaga.

Well if lomo v rigo fails to be made. Maybe LSC could step it up and face rigo. Lsc throws the most punches per round but I bet that would change v rigo. Could be an interesting match up.

he could have fought great fights if he wanted but he chose not to...

I am tired of these fighters crying about they should be main stage A side when they dont put the work in.

Okay rigo has 1 good win so what......

LSC said he's going to stay at 126, so Rigo is no longer an option.
Haymon owns 126 anyway, more options for him there.
You have a rematch with Mares available as well as Russell, Cuellar, Selby. Frampton said he's moving up soon. There are more fights for them at 126.

I'd be interesting to see LSC in versus someone who can actually punch
