it was probably the best fight we've seen between A level fighters since, idk, Bradley vs. Provodnikov or Marquez vs. Pacquiao 5?

    And people are still b-itching.

    lol

Leo has no chance at 126. He's begging to be countered hard with his style

I didn't watch the fight but I bet you it was a war from the opening bell.

Wasn't close at all, Leo looked great. Nice timing on his punches when Mares was coming in and moved away out of the corners really sweet.

I think this was the best fight on Haymon's PBC so far.

... I was rooting for Mares, but I was wrong -- Santa Cruz proved to be a real Mexican warrior.... and Santa's working rate and skills were outstanding...

... I wonder if, next year, Haymon puts Gary Russell in front of LSG (because Lomachenko is out of the PBC mix).

Messy fight to score fairly. I'm slightly swayed by how horribly biased the commentary and between round hl were, to the point that it might have made me overcompensate for Mares. Notice how in a give and take round, they only showed a LSC shot. De****able. Mares dusted that chin many times and they never freakin hl'ed it.

Lsc did do a nice little pivot uppercut move when Mares was digging in.. Think it was in the 8th. That was nice I thought

                    Good, entertaining fight.

                    Sloppy, but action packed.

Santa Cruz was the 'boxer' in this fight, he controlled range rather effectively in the second half.
With that said, I'm curious to see if a true boxer would make him look ****** or if he can force the fight or adapt. Either Rigo or Loma would be great fights.

I never commented on the quality of the fight

I found the fight quite enjoyable, but wouldn't call it a classic war. Good action packed fight, as you put it, is a good way of describing it.
