Philly brawler Joey Dawejko scored his second consecutive 1st round knockout. He only needed 75 seconds to get the job done this time around, dropping and stopping Natu Visina in the opening bout of a Showtime-televised tripleheader Friday evening at D Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Dawejko is a beast in the first round. Six of his last seven fights were by first round demolition. The only one that wasn't was a tough decision loss to Mansour.

Dawejko is just too short & has no reach to be a major player in the HW division but he like Derric Rossy are solid gatekeepers. That was an entertaining card. A small crowd with lots of empty seats in 100 degree heat & that is too bad because there were some good bouts.

        Bryan 98-91

That was a pretty solid fight. No clinches & I don't recall Robert Byrd ever calling for a break. Almost 1400 punches throw & lots of good exchanges. The 100 degree temperature caught up with Rossy first. I enjoyed the card. Don King should get Bryan in with Joey Dawejko next. A different type of test. I'd even consider Bryan vs Stiverne. Derric Rossy is an Ironworker & Tompkins pointed it out that he normally "walks steel" but is boxing full time now. Great effort by Rossy & Bryan. It would be good to see it again but I doubt that will happen. If it did make the fight out of the 100 degree weather. Bryan has a good left hook...
