FRIGHT NEWS SPOKE TOO SOON…AGAIN!
Landover, MD-Rumors circulating the Internet that IBF flyweight titlist Vic Darchinyan (25-0, 20 KO's), an Armenian fighting out of Australia, would engage in a title unification bout this summer have been dashed! But that doesn't mean we won't be seeing one of boxing's most exciting fighters. Matchmakers have informed "24-K that the power punching mini-titan Darchinyan will now face off against undefeated Mexican Luis Maldanado (33-0-1, 25 KO's) in what is shaping up to be another fantastic, free night of Showtime Championship Boxing, headlined by the rubber match between Diego Corrales-Jose Luis Castillo slated for June.
ONLY ONE FLY CAN REMAIN UNBEATEN!
The winner of this fight will clearly be in the running to face the winner of this weekend's fantastic flyweight showdown between Jorge Arce & Rosendo Alvarez. Both of these fights, coming as support attractions to 'superfights' can only help to raise the profile of what is secretly the best division in all of boxing. Now if only U.S. fans can get a look at World champion Pongsaklek Wongjongkam.
Damn I beat Narvaez didn't want to take the fight. Why are all these flyweight duckin Vic Darchinyan. Arce, Pong Wong, Parra, and Narvaez, all going for the easier fights.
