This is funny considering when others spoke on GGG vs Lemieux as a ppv (which I think IS a ppv) the overall consensus was they didn't know wtf they were talking about.

He may have input on the fighter, but he would have no decision on the promotional part and network distributing the fight. Again, no part of the discussion to make a fight PPV.

That has nothing to do with who the promoter decides to put on ppv. If the promoter, not roach, decided to not put certain fights on ppv, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

But that's the thing. The trainers opinion plays just as big as a key. Freddie roach has been a longtime trainer of fighters who've come in and out of the spot light and managed a few of their careers. His decision making not only affects his boxer but whom the other members of the team place in front of his boxer. (Example: he did not want Shane and manny fighting each other back in 2010/2011 despite that fight being a unification without him wanted a CW) Ultimately, me as a trainer, if my guy has the opportunity to take any fighter, ppv worthy or not, if that means putting him on a scale where it not only generates more $ in his pocket, it also generates more $ in MY pocket, I'll give my input, bc it not only adds recognition to my resume but it increase my pockets based on the revenue generated, let's not sit here and pretend Freddie doesn't consider those things or why he says certain things to promote a fight or he predicts everyone of his fighters to KO his opponent. If Freddie roach has no say so or opinion of these things he be like brother ****m Richardson . Regardless of it is a good ppv or not but Freddie is talking about the selling nature of the ppv. He however has been apart of ppvs that you couldn't sell what they should and those numbers spoke for themselves. That's my criticism. He's ultimately ready to talk the highest about his fighter when it comes to a good ppv selling nature and people will take that opinion and hold it of its importance but all of sudden it's not of importance to the similar crowd on here when it comes to talking about the ppv failures on his fighter side when we bring up the past because all of sudden, it means nothing ?

Well, in fairness to Freddy, he doesn't have a say on promotional decisions that his fighter's promoting companies make. He does talk a lot, and gets a lot of hate cause of it. Now, I don't believe him when he says that he doesn't like catch weights when he's the one advising his fighters and managers to do them. He's just taking a shot at GGG/Lemieux and FMM/Berto fights, which I totally agree with him, neither is PPV worthy!!!...same as Pac/Algeri, Pac/Rios, Cotto/Mayorga, Canelo/Kirkland, etc...

That is a whole lot of nonsense. What is the point of this post? All that comes out of it is that you are upset that Roach said the Cotto/Canelo PPV sells itself and will be a great fight? Are you suggesting that he should have disassociated himself from Pacquiao because his fight with Algieri was PPV?

Really man, you are ****ing losing it here. You can probably sum up all your posts in this thread with just saying, "I don't like Freddie Roach." and that would be sufficient.
