Should a trainer's first concern be excitement?

I'm watching interviews of Freddie Roach, and it seems like his first concern is excitement. Shouldn't that be the promoter's job? He sounds like a fan rather than a trainer. His first concern should be to get his fighter to victory. I've never seen a trainer train a fighter to be exciting.

His concern is Pacquiao losing. If Pacquiao was so much better than Khan they would be all over that fight, Roach knows what both fighters can do and him not wanting the fight speaks volumes.

That's an irresponsible approach to take. And considering how Pac fights smarter and at a more measured pace now I don't know what Roach is talking about.

Exciting to freddie means winning by dramatic fashion and every trainer should be training their fighter to win with a exclamation mark.

No they shouldn't, a trainers first priority is to train their fighter to win by any means necessary.

That secondary to winning with a exclamination.

You win by any means necessary when you cant win by exclamation mark.

I agree that it's an irresponsible approach, especially given Freddie's health from all those 'exciting' fights he had. Robert Garcia is another one that seems to have this mentality, except when it comes to his little bro who he had no problem advising him to quit when he got a little blood on his nose.
