Promoter Frank Warren has rejected the widespread industry rumors that slow ticket sales were the main reason or the postponement of the WBO middleweight title fight between champion Andy Lee and mandatory challenger Billy Joe Saunders.

The fight was initially scheduled for September 19th at T****nd Park in Limerick as Lee's homecoming title defense.

But two weeks ago BoxingScene.com first reported that Lee had been battling a bad virus, which affected his training camp and he needed some additional time to properly prepare for the bout.

Gyppos from all over the british isles will pack that fight out. Its just that they wont pay for their tickets. Frank warren security is non-existent against the gypsy hordes.

he has a poor history

the fury chisora 2 fight card had very little security and people were going crazy, snorting ******* in the toilets, the security were so few in number they were scared to do anything

and the fight card ran extremely late that everyone who stayed to watch the main event missed the london tube

What people also need to understand is that this fight was due to take place right as the Pro 12 season is starting so Munster will need their stadium and even if the fight was to be delayed by a week it wouldnt have worked, and anyone from the UK will know of the cold/flu going around at the minute so it is possible that Frank may be telling the truth on this one.

Surely they would get more money from a half full rugby stadium than sharing an arena with 2 other world title fights?
