About as much as "Mayweather got 147 and 154 on lockdown." Which is to say no. He'd be a solid favorite against any MW on the planet though.

154-168 was when GGG came to the US scene, he was willing to fight everyone to get some exposure, to get known to the public, it was over 2 years ago when he said that the last time.

Times change, you have to deal with it. GGG is the man at 160 now, and his focus is on becoming unified and undisputed MW champion like Marvin Hagler and Carlos Monzon did it.

Why would you guys put stuff against him he said a couple years ago? Did he say "I will fight anyone at 154-168 for my whole career?"

        No he did not.

RJJ, Toney, McCallum, Hagler, Monzon, Hopkins, and Nunn beat him at 160.

            No.

There are at least 3-4 guys @ 168 who hand him his ass. Probably a couple of guys @ 154-160 too...

Why is he afraid of Ward? Why doesnt he fight Ward at 168? BECAUSE HIM AND HIS ENTIRE TEAM KNOWS, WARD WOULD MAKE HIM CRY. Just like you guys thought Matthysse would win vs Danny, you thought #48 would beat floyd, lol. gigi is next, brawlers dont beat skilled boxers that are their size. Dumb ass still cant speak english, living in america trying to fight "mexican style", what a dumbass. Its a good drama show, a good big drama show, he cant spell "a", he doesnt know what color the red cross is...

in reality he hasn't beat enough top shelf opposition to make that type of claim
Bumlovkin hasn't beaten ANY top shelf opposition. None at all...

And exactly which "smaller opponents" would that be?

you dudes are too funny!!...to justify the 164 CW that Team GGG aka Team Hypocritical was tossing around in the media in regards to a fight with Ward...you people used Ward's comment about dropping to 160 for a fight with Floyd...correct?....Ward made that comment in May of 2013....2 years and 3 months ago

You mentioned GGG is focused on becoming unified and undisputed MW champ like Hagler and Monzon....what about BHop?...did he not win every belt in the division and became the first man in history to defend ALL the belts?!?

Ward beats him, Froch beats him, Degale beats him (would also pick Andre Dirrell to beat him, and Abraham's mule punch and his chin is sturdy enough to topple Golovkin as well).

Wouldn't bet against Chavez Jr (blessed with pop's granite chin) or Sakio Bika (simply put, a rugged mother****er) to give Golovkin hell as well.

Golovkin doesn't lay guys out at 160, so he's not going to lay guys out at 168; beyond that, he gets hit way too much.

Likely explains why Golovkin is seemingly the only elite amateur who fought at 165 to actually end up as a career middleweight.
