All jokes aside I don't remember the last time I was this excited before a fight. It's been a while. Either guy can win this fight and there is next to no possibility of it being a let down. Rooting for Canelo but I respect Cotto for taking it at his age.

Cotto is and always was a sucker for the uppercut, which is Canelo's best punch. If Canelo can keep his composure and fight smart, he will beat Cotto.

I'm sure Cotto will take that punch away. Body punches will be the key to this fight IMO. Remember.. We're talking about Canelo here who hates movement. He claimed Mayweather ran, He had a hard time catching Trout and Lara, and Cotto incorporates just enough movement in his offense to bother Canelo. Canelo is going to miss a TON of counter punches.

The main question going into this fight has been whether Cotto can take Canelo's punch, and if Cotto can answer that, I wonder how Canelo responds. Downside of fighting a bunch of Jr. Welterweights is that Canelo hasn't been hit by a fighter who can really punch.

Cotto is the 2nd best fighter Canelo would have fought thus far in his career, and no doubt his toughest on paper, and in the ring.

Canelo just cracks Cotto's top 10, of best fighters he's fought.


It's not like hes never seen a fighter like Canelo, Canelo hasn't fought an opponent like Cotto. This is what happens when you are so protected coming up, when your first title win, and most stoppage victories, are from blown up Jr. Welterweights. Canelo has looked nothing short of average in his three biggest fights, and the same cant be said about Cotto, though he lost his share.
