Abraham's promoter, Wilfried Sauerland of Sauerland Event, wants the fight to take place before the end of the year.

Sturm is winless since 2013, going 0-2-1 in his last three fights, but a bout with Abraham is still a very lucrative event in Germany.

Funny how Bernard Hopkins isn't ranked by the WBO either, yet his fight would've likely gotten the a-ok. lol

They've already done it 4 times.

I'm wondering if Abraham is allowed at this point to have a voluntary vs Sturm? That would be a huge fight in Germany. As for BHop, geez that would be boring watching him run and grab for 12 rounds. Of the top 15 WBO fighters, not really alot to choose from, but maybe one or two would work...

          1. Robert Stieglitz
          2. Gilberto Ramirez
          3. Vincent Feigenbutz
          4. Patrick Nielsen
          5. Frank Buglioni
          6. Jesse Hart
          7. Tyron Zeuge
          8. Blake Caparello
          9. Rohan Murdock
          10. Eduard Gutknecht
          11. Isaac Ekpo
          12. Rocky Fielding
          13. Tim-Robin Lihaug
          14. Yuzo Kityota
          15. Martin Murray

Of that list, Murray followed by Fielding would be the best $$$ fights

Standard procedure would be to let Sturm bowl over a tomato-can. That would give him a top 15 if not top 10 ranking.

I still want to see Abraham-Sturm. I have no interest in seeing Hopkins doing anything but enjoy his well-earned retirement.
