The fight is less than three weeks away. Andre Berto (30-3, 23KOs) will challenger WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Showtime Pay-Per-View will carry the card.
Berto is a sizeable underdog in the contest. Some bettering circles have Mayweather as high as an 80-1 favorite. Berto is 3-3 in his last six fights and his biggest win in the last few years has been Josesito Lopez.
In an ironic twist, the usually inactive Mayweather has actually been more active than Berto, who is averaging one fight per year since 2012. Mayweather fought twice in 2013, twice in 2014 and the fight with Berto will be his second of 2015.
