When The Contender came out, I have to admit, I was geeked. I thought what a great way to bring boxing back in the mainstream like it was in yesteryear. If it's boxing...it's got to be good...right? I was drawn in by the fighters, their stories, and I was heartbroken when Najai left us. I didnt like the actual fights because they were edited. So, with that, will the ESPN version be worth watching?
Will ESPN do better with The Contender? If not, why not, if so, why?

Yeah I did not like the edited fights or some of the decisions that became of them.ESPN should do a better job but really we won't know until it comes out.I thought Ishe Smith was going to win the last one easily but things did turn out different than many thought........I look forward to checking it out.

now thats a great idea...showing full fights during the show will draw people away who dont like boxing as muchOriginally posted by enadeusMy advice to them would be to show a full version of the fights after the prime time version of the show is over.Comment

Ishe's the man, he is the best out of the bunch, and will be the first champion.. Most of Sergios wins were controversial.Originally posted by raesaadYeah I did not like the edited fights or some of the decisions that became of them.ESPN should do a better job but really we won't know until it comes out.I thought Ishe Smith was going to win the last one easily but things did turn out different than many thought........I look forward to checking it out.
