You guys sound dumb saying these things when LSC-Mares happens on Saturday.

Also it will be fun seeing your reaction if Canelo beats Cotto and ducks Golovkin.

Not many guys come back after a 1st round KO to fight top guys. It took Mares an extra fight than most because he looked bad in his first tune-up vs. Oquendo and switched trainers.

I'm stuck with boxing because I have been watching it for a long time, since the 90s as a child. As I get older, I dislike boxing more and more, but I will never just stop watching it, although I hope I do one day, but I doubt it. Seeing fights like Benn-McClellan, Magomed-Perez, Chavez-Taylor, etc and knowing that fighters don't get any pensions from boxing, and there are no kickstarters for retired boxers; i'm more for 'get as much money and go.' So yeah, having loved boxing myself and put on gloves in the gym, I feel for pro boxers who's only job is boxing and that is all they know and have no other talents. I root for them to make as much money as possible. If the biggest fights for a fighter happens to be the best fight also, so be it. But I will not bash a fighter for doing what all of us would do if we were in their position. I'm not gonna be a hypocrite like most fans are. I wanna see good fights yeah, but i'm not gonna be all judgmental about a fighter wanting money.

I don't agree with the way things are either. Most boxers in general don't get paid enough for what they do while shifty promoters take advantage of them however, what Haymon seems to be doing is giving them too easy of a ride in my opinion. Fighters don't want to take any risks anymore and matchups are suffering as a result. As a person and a fan, I feel for the fighters and their struggle but as a fan, it just pisses me off. There has to be some middle ground that works best for all parties involved.
