  • Comments Thread For: Sanchez: GGG-Lemieux Will Answer Questions on Both

Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA, IBO and WBC-interim middleweight world champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs), says the upcoming unification with IBF middleweight champion power-puncher David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KOs) will answer a lot of questions about both boxers.

i think it would be great of boxing fans overall if this is a david win o david getting off on ggg showin that it is hype...

we wouldnt have to pay and the ppl might see he's not on ward level and just leave it alone

then ward will be mentioned with the guys at 168 instead of this possible hype job super fight

at 168 haymon and roc nation would have to do business together..and that is better for boxing fans i promoters work with others

IMO the only question this fight would have answered was if GGG could take a punch from a hard puncher but that was somewhat already answered with the Curtis Stevens fight. Lemieux is going to get knocked out as predicted by Sanchez within 4 rounds he is nothing but a power punching brawler GGG is a good boxer not just a hard puncher. Lemieux is taylor made for GGG but that doesn't mean it's not a legit fight cause by all means it is. It will be an entertaining fight for however long it last. And if it goes pass eight rounds it could potentially surpass the Cotto / Canelo fight as FOTY.
