    Fights That Almost Happen But For One Reason Never Did

    Miguel Cotto vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr for Cottos wba 154 pound title he won from Yuri Foreman. Target date was december 2010 in New York but Cotto had surgery on his shoulder and could not fight another fight in 2010. After that chavez got fat and never fought again at 154 opting insted to fight for the interim wbc 160 pound belt. Fight was never seriously considered again.

                      How close was that, Chavez vs Cotto, from being made? I don't remember that fight ever being on the table even for a brief period.
