Why have people accepted this bent notion that he's "earned the right"?

He has earned the right to select whoever as his retirement opponent.

But he has not earned the right to demand that I buy it

Khan, Thurman, Porter, D.G & Brook. He beats all of them, some worse than others. Its hard to believe this is his last bout. I think he is taking an easy one to get to 49, then #50 will be someone a lot better than Berto.

Why are people sleeping on Berto??? He's going to coming in swinging. He's not going to be like PAC, trying to find his rhythm. He's going to come in swinging and he may just catch Floyd. Berto lost a couple brawls and lost a fight when he clearly had a shoulder injury. He always comes in shape. He'll be ready and my money is on him to win. I did go from betting $1000 to maybe $250, but I think it will be entertaining. Do I like the price tag... No! I was hoping for a $49.99 ticket. Am I thrilled about the opponent... no! I would if liked Bradley in this one, but Mayweather Promotions doing business with Top Rank two times in a row was not likely. I don't like Khan nor do I think he deserves the fight, but he throws punches in bunches too and does not have to get in rhythm to throw his punches. Plus it's another big money fight. I'm hoping Mayweather retire with #50 against either Khan, Bradley or PAC II.

Whether he's earned the right or not he IS fighting Berto. Get over it! Some people on here like to act as if they have any bearing on who Mayweather or any other fight decided to get in ring with... I would say if u don't like it don't buy it, but judging from the past more than likely most of us will buy it.
