Even Chavez Sr. who was fully behind Pacquiao was honest enough to admit that it was Mayweather who came to fight, not Pacquiao. The only one who looked out of character, especially after the first right hand landed was Pacquiao.

I like Nacho, he doesn't bull**** you.
But if you went into Floyd/Pac expecting a war you set yourself up for disappointment.
I said all along the buildup would be better than the actual fight.
Outside of Floyd making a mistake and Pac catching him early the fight was always going to be a boring matchup.

Nacho is still salty that his prized pupil got reduced to basically a sparring partner. Or maybe less than that, since sparring partners tend to actually land punches.

As for the typical irrational Floyd-haters (aka DLH, Hatton, Canelo, Cotto, Pacquiao fans), the object of the sport is "hit without getting hit", not "you hit me, then I hit you". If that's your preferred type of boxing match to watch, fine. But don't complain when someone actually masters the sweet science, as Floyd has.
In my experience most DLH and Cotto fans are also fans of Mayweather. I happen to be a fan of all 6 that's including Mayweather. Funny thing about these threads, I have actually defended Pac and Mayweather on the same thread a few times.

Boxing is about Bobbing and weaving, you stick and move, Floyd didn't do a Pernell Whitaker, what Floyd did is lame boxing. Hugging it out for every chance he can take. He just defused a fight by hugging and running in the biggest event in boxing. That my friend is shameful. Tsk.tsk.tsk..
So you're saying Pac came dangerously close to Mayweather about 10 or 11 times? So you're saying Manny "pac man" Pacquiao, 8 division champ, HOF, one of the greats of this era, came dangerously close to Mayweather 10-11 times? What does that say about Mayweather. You're such a huge fan of his aren't you.

Manny failed and you losers need to get over it .
Sorry man, shoulder injury........no credit can be given for the win. Floyd was on "special substances" while Pac was denied pre-approved medications for his injured shoulder. Using MMA tactics in the ring and his backpocket ref does nothing.

You havent noticed yet but we are talking about Floyd vs JMM.

You remember JMM right? The guy who knocked Manny into a coma.

Yeah that guy fought Floyd too. Couldnt win a single round though. Couldnt land one significant punch, actually.

Go watch that fight, in slow motion, at 720p, and come back to tell us how many clinches you "documented".

                Thanks.
Marquez was a bloated lightweight fighting a welterweight (Floyd) at that time. I don't have to see that fight to know who will win that. Cherry picking at the right time is Floyd's forte lol oh btw, enjoy the Berto fight that's another cherry picking Floyd picked gone obviously wrong lol cheers!

10-11 times? Where did you get that number? Anyway, every time Pac wanted to go and fire he was left with an opponent who will literally hug to defuse an exchange from happening. That ain't boxing. Boxing as I have said is you bob and weave when all kinds of punches are thrown at you. That's boxing. To clinch to escape an exchange is like a safety net. A child lock for a car. It saves the boxer from ever getting hurt when he feels he is in trouble. Hug it out. Fight diffused within seconds. That's a big fat safety net right there.

It's like a default setting for cowards. If you feel like your in trouble. Just hug it out.

There was about 18 clinches in the fight, 6 of those were initiated by Pac. You're as blind as a bat flying in the direction of the sun. There wasn't enough clinches through out the entire fight to justify the BS coming from your falsified view of what defense in boxing is. The "sport" of boxing began as two men in a ring with their defense only being the forearms, in the shape of a box, why its called boxing, there was no movement or slipping of punches, but you know what they did do....They clinched. The two men stood toe to toe and only threw body punches, no face or head punches which is why many older boxers had a hunched over boxing stance similar to Jake Lamotta. The actual fighting that eventually led to the sport of boxing began with the Romans. How does your view of what defense is in boxing fits that, When the clinch is older then slipping a punch? And it's only illegal to clinch when you completely stop a boxers ability to through a punch, the clinches also have to be excessive. Mayweather clinches and leaves the opponent with one hand to work, so it is not an illegal clinch, Mayweather vs Pac averaged about 1.8 clinches a round so it wasn't excessive nor was it a staple of Mayweathers defense.

Masquerading as a knowledgeable boxing fan doesn't actually make you one, your not drinking cool aid, its piss and its rotting your brain.
