Bernard Hopkins, a partner in Golden Boy Promotions, is confident IBF middleweight beltholder David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KOs) will overcome the long odds by defeating WBA, IBO and WBC Interim middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs) in their scheduled unification on October 17th at New York's Madison Square Garden. Actually that's where Lemieux lacks, in both his loses he was unable to adjust and he has no versatility. This ones gonna end very quickly.

difference is hopkins has one of the best chins ever, so i never envisioned tito dropping him..lemieux has a chin soft as baby wipes, he will do the stanky leg with the first jab he eats.

May put a small wager on Lemieux. Anything can happen. And Sanchez is already overlooking him. Ish happens in boxing.

Not to mention Tito dropped and stopped Joppy right before Hopkins happened, was undefeated and ppl thought Trinidad carried his power to middleweight vs a natural middleweight well.

That does seem a bit wide.

Bet the gap closes closer to fight night?

It's going to be interesting to see how GGG reacts to one of Lemieux's left hooks, you know David is going to catch him at some point. Might put a hundred down myself if the odds remain this great.

If Lemieux pulled it off by shocking KO, it'll be nuts to see if fanboys disappeared like when Marquez KOd pac.

Stevens managed to land it but there are a couple of things to factor in, Stevens' chin, which is considerably better than Lemieux's, bought him enough time to land a good amount of those lefts hooks. On top of that, I've always questioned Lemieux's power, I'm not sure he hits as hard as people make out.
