Comments Thread For: Khan Sees Pacquiao Win as Path To Floyd's P4P Spot

British star Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) sees a heavy upside to facing eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38KOs).

Besides the magnitude of the event and the monetary gains, Khan believes a dominating victory could catapult him to take over Floyd Mayweather's current top position in the pound-for-pound rankings.

Both Khan and Pacquiao are interested in the fight. Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum of Top Rank, would like to stage it next year.

Khan will never be P4P #1. A P4P King doesn't get KO'd by Danny Garcia and lose to Lamont Peterson. A P4P King would dominate Algieri 119-103 on all cards like Pacquiao did, not struggle against him.

          He's fookin' delusional.

If Khan actually manages to pull off the win, it's way more indicative of Manny's decline than Khan's (alleged) greatness.

Amir, you've never ever been in the Top 10 P4P.

              Do you understand this?

You aren't in consideration for anyone's P4P spot let alone Floyd's.

                ^^^ This

And not only did he struggle against Algieri (who is vastly underrated on here) but he got a gift decision. Algieri won that fight

Khan is not interested in proving he's the best. He's only interested in being an international superstar and by becoming one through the easiest means possible.

If Khan beats Pacquiao, why shouldn't he at the very least be a top 10 p4p fighters? Let's have less *****ing and more boxing fans on here. The same old **** is getting tired. Khan has a terrific 140lb resume with exceptional wins and beating Pacquiao would make him a top 3 at welter, if he follows that up with Brook or Bradley and Floyd is retired or continues fighting bums, Khan is clearly number one.

Obviously that's a lot of ifs and buts but the talent and skill is there. Is the dedication though?
