Comments Thread For: Thurman: Bad Shoulder or Not, Pacquiao Would've Lost!

WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith Thurman believes Manny Pacquiao - even with a good shoulder - would have lost on May 2nd to WBC/WBA super champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The two boxers traded shots at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in what was the richest fight in boxing history.

In-spite of NSAC intimidations Mayweather did not win the fight.

Isn't that the same with Floyd Mayweather Vs Castillo 1?
Bad shoulder or not the same result would have happened because the judges were clearly all biased and in favour of only wanting Floyd to win...
An Injury can't change the outcome?
        Riiighttt......

What are you talking about Man? Floyd won both Castillo fights with and without a bad shoulder. Pacquiao did not win his fight against Floyd.

Floyd Mayweather robbed Castillo out of a PTS victory, If you scored Floyd winning that fight you don't know **** about boxing.

Well post fight results shows Pac actually won with a bad shoulder and all.

Additional inside scoop - Thurman works for Haymon. Wants A shot at Floyd. Knows there is no way to get that by hating on Floyd.

I'm a Manny Pacquiao fan. I believe he hurt his shoulder, and believe it affected him in the fight. The way he backed off of Floyd when he had him on the ropes in the 4th, the way he was doing left hand only combinations late in the fight when up close. It was affecting his performance, no doubt.

Saying that, does it mean he'll knock Floyd out? No. I think Floyd had another gear. I think it means he'd have pushed Floyd to the limit and we'd have had a close decision (either way).

Manny's best round was the 4th. Floyd's best round was the 5th.

I still would like to see May Pac 2. Another year removed from their primes, another year too late, but it still intrigues me. I do wish Manny had just manned up and said he was injured and gotten the proper treatment and delayed the fight. Sadly his judgement seemed to be tainted by his faith that God would deliver him the fight.

Pacquiao edged this fight WITH a bad shoulder!

The only relevant question is whether Pac would have won a clear UD or utterly wiped Mayweather out with a good one.

                  Fact!

                  So many troll posts lately!

How many people actually believe Mayweather won, like 1%? Wow!

Rip off fight! Just like Lennox Holyfield 1! A travesty!

How everytime Pacquiao fans bring up Castillo? Pacquiao didn't even come close to what Castillo did in the first fight. Pacquiao didn't even come close to what Maidana did in their fight. Pacquiao lost and it ain't even close to being controversial and with or without an injury Mayweathe is just all around better than Pacquiao. Even before the fight YEARS ago I posted why I thought Mayweather would win and he did it exactly how I thought.
