he has a good trainer, in fact one of the guys who trains him was a world champion (Juan Coggi)

my issue with him isn't that he lost, it's that when he gets hurt or frustrated he gives up

Good call, guys. I was rooting for Lucas and I didn't know much about Postol but the little I knew and just seeing the height advantage had me worried to predict. That was a damn near domination. Not only did Postol show superior boxing skills and good power, he also showed grit when he got rocked and came right back at Lucas. He's a problem for sure.

he used the exact gameplan that he used in the aydin fight, clinch, move, jab until his opponent starts getting tired, then open up with combinations

Interesting thread - and a good prediction. Always funny looking back at these.

Postol fought a great fight, he should have been deducted points for the holding I feel, it was a bit too much and had too much of an effect on the early action. I think he needs to have a bit more confidence in his combinations and power rather than resort to holding too quickly. I can only see him getting better from here, some good fights for him. Wonder how long he'll be able to keep that frame at 140?

Pretty much this, I've been saying this for years, it's why I thought Provo might beat him if it gets to being a firefight but Provos engine is too mediocre.

Provo lost badly because Lucas is better than he is, and styles make fights.
