    Super Saiyan Tomato Cans

    This thread is in praise of (former) high class tomato cans.

    In boxing it is very rare for a punching bag to suddenly start schooling studs.

    His fight against "Irish" Micky Ward on July 13, 2001, was voted 2001 ESPN "Fight of the Year." as well as 2001 Ring magazine Fight of the Year. In June 2008 ESPN announced that this fight had been nominated for ESPN "Fight of the Decade" award. Augustus was also named "ESPN's Most Memorable Fighter".

    You forget **** Tigers win against Jose Torres to win the Light Heavyweight titles. Dude went Super Saiyan and stayed there.

    And Salidos win against Cruz.

        Boone was a beast man, K.Os Adonis Stevenson, gives Kovalev absolute nightmares, dropped Andre Ward and beat Willie Monroe Jr.

        Why wasn't this guy a major figure on the world level? Poor trainers/managers? Handled poorly? I feel like if he had the right team around him he could have been an absolute force.

          Emanuel Augustus is a high class tomato can. He put up some good fights against good fighters. But he was nothing more than a club fighter.
