you know, i know, wilder knows and haymon knows, that he will get ktfo as soon as he steps in the ring with povetkin or klitschko. they are merely prolonging the money train

Wilder's team has done Deontay no favors by matching him up so softly. They've shunned any big risk fights his whole career, save for Stiverne, and when he does in fact step in with someone dangerous, he's gonna be ill prepared.

As I've said all along, he should have faced Czar Glaskov. Glaskov is not the most dangerous hard hitting opponent but he's durable and he knows how to box well. This would've been the perfect fight for Wilder: he would've got some rounds in against a good opponent that would have made him work for the "W" - instead his picks some Euro bum.

Agree with this. Just do not understand how Wilder's team thinks he can go from Molina and this guy to Wlad or Povetkin and be prepared.

Shouldn't the WBC champion of the world be defending against someone better than BoxRec #34 Duhaupas?

If Deontay Wilder didn't have a mandatory who wants to fight him as soon as possible, it might be forgivable.

But given that Wilder just fought Molina, shouldn't he be fighting his mandatory next, or at least a decent top 10 heavyweight like Jennings or Takam?
Stop being outraged at mismatches only when someone you do not like is getting the easy win. Stick to the same sanctioning body ranking you do if its wlad, kov or another one of your favorites.

If you had said this about Caparello when he fought Kov, who was ranked in the top 15 just as this guy is by the WBC, then you'd have some credibility.

Caparello was undefeated and Boxrec #10 at light heavyweight.

Kovalev was ducked by Stevenson at that time, and unlike Wilder, he didn't have a mandatory ready and waiting to fight him.

Rankings are irrelevant. You just have to hope for a good fight.

Someone will expose the fraud sooner or later.

                      Povetkin won't take a dive.
