On the night of October 17th at the famed Madison Square Garden a middleweight slugfest takes place between WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and IBF belt-holder, David Lemieux. It's a battle of two of the hardest hitting fighters on the planet. And for Abel Sanchez, the threat of Lemieux - and his lethal left hook - ensures that there will be no complacency with 'GGG'.

But he's telling the truth. Lemiuex aint a 14-1 underdog for nothing. This is a showcase fight for GGG.

...and another MW belt for GGG. Which is something Cotto could have offered him a chance at but....he'd rather not.

if david knows he can take a punch this fight really changes...ppl say ggg can take a punch, but every punch has been given by a fighter that was already hit hard and a bit punished...david should come to empty the clip and get respect..if u let GGG start early he's done for bc he doesnt have the skill to withstand that early attack

EMPTY THE CLIP EARLY...if u even knock ggg down u won..even if u lose right?

I'm not a fan of taking punches being a defensive strategy, but S is going to change when Lemieux hits GGG full force on the button and he doesn't even care, just keeps coming. That's when S is going to change. Then Golvkin KTFO of him.

That strap is meaningless. GBP won that purse bid for $102,000. The WBC is gonna make 10x that from their 3% of the Cotto/Canelo fight. Nobody but GBP bid on that fight. They coulda won it for $1. That's how much that strap is worth.

Lemieux may land a few bombs on GGG, but will ultimately get caught in an exchange. This fight shouldn't go past 6.
