New York - Abel Sanchez, the trainer of Gennady Golovkin has been on record of saying that he feels the lineal and WBC Middleweight Champion Miguel Cotto (40-4, 33 KO’s) will not fight Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KO’s) should he defeat Canelo Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KO’s).
But with the recent success of Golovkin’s ticket sales for his fight with David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KO’s) and possibly putting up good pay-per-view numbers as the a-side for Golovkin, it could change the dynamic for Cotto. Sanchez says that Cotto may be more willing to fight Golovkin should he become a box office success on pay-per-view and if Cotto dominates Canelo come November 21st.
