    Yep, pretty much.

Lemieux does seem to be the exact opposite to Golovkin.

I do like that in a fighter.

But hard to get too excited about Lemieux as I dont rate him that highly.

I dont want him to win thats for sure.

It would be far better to have golovtards tell me that Gennady is great for beating Lemieux.... than it would be for Lemieuxtards to tell me that David is the GOAT for beating Hypekin.

big ups to lemiuex. he did get knocked out pretty bad by Rubio, but we didnt hear anything from him. he just picked himself back up and now won another trinket. good ups for fighting the boogie man of boxing.

This is actually win win for both guys no matter what. They both step into the money with an exciting fight.
Even if GGG loses everyone wants to see him and it's gonna be the same with David and more people will become aware of him because he fought GGG and that is now exposure. Best wishes to both, I think GGG hurts him and wins but anything can happen. And if Lemieux lands something big and the Gman walks through it will confirm my thought - that he has a great chin and we have seen it already but didn't believe it at the time.

**** i dont know about all that a loss for ggg would be real bad. he may still be a popular watch but it instantly kills his aura and superstar chances

lemieux has a REAL CHAMP attitude unlike quacklin. quacklin went running for the hills leaving behind his belt and his dignity. what a joke.

only if more champs had heart like lemieux.

A loss would be devastating for Golovkin, but would hardly affect Lemieux.

Simply because, one of those guys is mainly hype (which quickly evaporates) and everyone can see what the other guy is.

                Joking aside, this. ^^^

                Good luck to both men.

                  HBO Forced The Fight

After he won his title Oscar wanted Lemiuex to defend his title against a non-existent challenger. Oscar's plan was for Lemiuex to defend, Canelo to beat Cotto & then Canelo v. Lemiuex unification bout. And then Canelo vs. GGG for the MW unification/lineal title. Not a bad plan but HBO told ODLH they aren't paying for Lemiuex vs winner of IBF eliminator and Lemiuex would be back fighting on a cable channel nobody can find. HBO desperately needed GGG in vs a credible opponent and Lemiuex is that guy for now.

It's a win-win for David that's for sure. I can't confirm it will be his highest purse but it should be, and what's he got to loose, really? He's already showing he's got a pair by fighting GGG.
