What Margarito fight are people remembering? He took some good body shots, but other than that, he beat the breaks of Margarito, and wobbled him several times, and could have stopped him, but chose to carry him.

The fight didn't take a lot out of him. He took more punishment in the Marquez fights, and the Cotto fight than the Margarito fight.

The killer instinct of every fighter, especially those who are highly aggressive, hard hitting and volume punching, leaves as time progresses. A lot of this has to do with a decrease in the hunger of great fighters, who feel like they don't have to fight how they once did, especially someone like Pacquiao who started off fighting for donuts to feed his family.

Now, outside of the mental aspect, there are the physical signs of damage, Pac's been in several wars, with Morales, Marquez and so on. These are great fighters giving each other hell. He's been cut, KD, KOd, bruised, battered and everything in between. That will take a lot out of a fighter, especially in a near 20 year career where the guy has spent much of his adult life fighting at a championship level.

So a combination of physical and mental change led to the loss of this killer instinct but it evolved Pacquiao into an aggressive technician, he out boxed Cotto, Margarito and Bradley. Against Mayweather, he came up against someone who was hungrier, in better shape both physical and mental and the injury may also have had a part to play. But Pacquiao, to me, seemed like he was happy with the 100 million and just wanted to talk about God. He didn't want to fight, it wasn't that he couldn't.

Manny's OWN words. He said this was a really tough fight, he cancelled his post fight singing party, he was laid up in bed for 3 days straight pissing blood. Not sure what he had to gain by making **** up.

Pago007 had it right lol. He got off that juice haha. I love how when Manny loses or looks bad it's because "he lost that killer instinct". No he was doing the best he could and just not getting it done. Sure Pac looks good against B level fighters like Rios and Algieri. Let's be real though...even though he technically won both he didn't look good against Bradley. He in reality lost 3 out of 4 against JMM (and should be 0-3-1 against him if boxing was truly fair) and Floyd outclassed him. He can still punch quick (BS shoulder crap aside) and knock people off balance but he can't bust a g**** at WW. He needs to go back to 140 and maybe get another KO. Freddie won't let Pac anywhere near Brook or Thurman so not many other options. Unless its Garcia at 147.

Have you got any evidence Manny was on PEDS? Thanks in advance.

curious when pac did all these peds.

              under fortune mid-lete 2000's?

              under ariza late 2000's-early 2010's?

pac could have used peds. i don't know.

but all the "PROOF" of his ped use are nonsense from uninformed ppl who just found out about pac because of delahoya fight.

              ped su****ions about pac:

              1. he got bigger.

pac was like 140-147 fight night when he was at 122-130. he hasn't gotten bigter.

              2. increased speed.

              pac was always fast.

              3. increased power.

pac was a monster at 112-126. one punch ko power. he lost power moving up.

              4. koing bigger guys.

his only kos at 147 were delahoya quitting, cotto getting stopped. marg, clottey, mosley, rios, algieri, bradley all went the distance.

              5. fortune/ariza

fortune and ariza was with him mid-2000's. before that no money for physical trainers. pac speed, power was there before that.

He stopped going into sea water. Now that he is back in it he will be back at full force.

Definately . When asked what was his toughest fight to date ,he always say margarito. He said he was hurt 3 times off body shots alone. And on one of those nasty body shots he thought abkut taking a knee and quitting right there from sheer pain. He also said margarito hurt him twice to the head . A clipping overhand and a left hook to the neck /back of the head

I think just working at a high levels can break your body down at that age. You can't really have an older guy be as explosive as a young guy, and thats how pacquiao fought.
He still does the same stuff it just isnt forced enough because he learned to box more lol

If we go by his own words, it was Margarito. He's interviewed here in a local TV and he said that he was really hurt on that fight and was about to quit.

He was interviewed again before the Mosley fight and he still mentioned the name Margarito.

Those who said he showed mercy on Margarito is BS IMO. I think he wanted the fight to stop because of himself seeing a danger of another hard shot, not because of pity to Margo.
